Helping Businesses, Councils, and Charities support employees with ageing parents.
The Ageing-in-Place Consultant
My name is Miles Walkden and I am The Ageing-in-Place Consultant.
I work with councils, businesses, charities, and others who want to offer support to people in two main categories:
- Support for employees who are struggling to balance support for ageing parents with a full time career.
- Support for employees who are close to retirement and want to plan for long, happy and healthy future.
I help people navigate the pressures they can feel as they get older, especially those with worries about older parents and some who also still supporting children.
In recent years the UK has experienced an increase in the number of people leaving work, becoming sick or having to take time off, or quitting before they are ready, often due to external pressures.
I support people by offering one-to-one, online conversations in the two subject areas below. I follow this up with an introduction to a peer lead forum where they can talk to others in similar positions. These forums can be specific to your organisation or part of a general UK support group.
Please choose the conversation that you would like:
“I am really impressed with the suggestions and ideas, and how thorough and detailed it all was.”
